Great day with Captain Josh. We went out for 4 hours starting at 8:30. We caught snook, trout, mackarel, and others. Josh was a great captain and instructor. Would love to go out with him again.

Took a 2hr charter because of unsure people’s stomach. Captain was a great guy and checked to make sure everyone was feeling great. We all learned about the types of fish we were going to catch and the technique on how to catch them. Definitely family friendly and also ready for a guys outing. Afterwards he took the time to prepare the fish for a local restaurant to prepare if we chose. Only complaint not enough time. 👍🏻

We had 4 people attend our trip with Captain Josh. All of us caught multiple fish and had a great time on the water. Josh was super friendly, knowledgeable, & patient with us. He was very engaged and ensured all of us were having an enjoyable time. Josh took us to multiple locations to fish and was able to comfortably get us situated with all of the gear

Captain Josh is the MAN, truly a remarkable trip. I did the half day/morning trip and was NOT disappointed in the slightest. Inshore slam with a snook redfish and trout. Captain Josh is extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher. Next time I’m in Sarasota I’m going to captain Josh’s charter.

Trip - Beginner Inshore Fishing Charter Sarasota – Target Redfish, Snook, and Trout on January 14, 2025

I recently moved to Sarasota from up North where I had a lot of fishing experience on the Chesapeake Bay but no experience in FL. I sought out a guide who was willing to teach local fishing and not just take me out for a day. Josh was the man! He got what I was trying to accomplish and totally delivered. He was patient with all my questions and totally unselfish in sharing knowledge on equipment, techniques and fishing spots. In about 3 hours I caught 7 nice fish in 4 different species which Josh helped me identify (Spotted Sea Trout, Snook, Flounder and Sheep Head). I am now confident I can go out and do it myself. But also if you just want to go out for a great day of fishing and to just let it happen Josh is the man! I highly recommend Reel Knowledge.

Captain Josh listened to all the fish species I wanted to target, dedicating time to find each one. We caught some and missed others, but he did his best to put us on fish. At the end of the day, he cleaned our catch and sent it to Walt's, where it was cooked in 20-25 minutes. It doesn’t get any fresher than that. Thanks again, Captain Josh!

Had an amazing time fishing with Captain Josh. He is highly professional and truly knows his craft. We experienced continuous action for four hours and caught several keepers, which Josh expertly filleted for me. We caught a wide variety of fish and saw a lot of wildlife, including manatees that came right up to the boat. I definitely plan on booking a return trip next year!
